Barriers: Life's Unheralded Help

By: David J. Swandt, Founder and President - Twenty20 Faith

Barriers: Help or hindrance?

The word "Barrier" often carries a negative disposition - it is many times viewed as something "in my way" and to be broken through because the good thing on the other side of it is to be had or attained. In sport and life, many times this is true.

But in other instances, "Barriers" are there to protect our interests, and guide us safely through a complex setting, helping us avoid hazards and difficulties not easily observable.

So its true that "Barriers" in some cases are a helpful protective guide, but in others a counter-productive hindrance. So how can you tell which is which? It all depends upon what's on the other side of it . . .

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

Through life's journey in Christ, it is true that God uses "Barriers" toward our benefit and His purpose. If that "Barrier" is of the type guiding us safely through a complex setting, that's His sovereignty on full display as He leads us through life. Likewise, if its a counter-productive hindrance to something God wants us to have or attain, He'll help us and use the challenge of overcoming it to build and prepare us for what He has planned.

Either way, we are helped.

Today, God is using Twenty20 Faith to help overcome barriers which may be hindering people in their walk with God. By breaking through the barriers of language and religious complexity, we help people make informed decisions to follow Christ, and do all we can to enable a lifetime of growth in their walk with God. We are honored to have this small part in God's all-encompassing plan for humanity.

THANK YOU for partnering with us along this remarkable journey.
