Something wonderfully powerful occurs when God's people are together in love, unity and fellowship. There is a certain strength and inspiration we can draw from when we are with other Christians, especially during those seasons of challenge and difficulty. But also, simply being available to others to offer help and encouragement during their time of need brings joy and fulfillment to life as well.

This principle of community is especially critical for those in the earliest and more vulnerable stages of their Christian faith journey. Twenty20 Faith recently conducted a comprehensive research project that affirmed the staying power of community in the lives of new believers:

A) 77% of those giving their life to Christ for the first time are doing so with other people closely involved in that process.

B) The most prominent driving factor in someone drifting away from Christ is that they've not actively engaged a Christian community for help and fellowship in their life journey.

C) At least 63% of those who recommit their life to Christ after having drifted away, are doing so entirely alone and in most cases because of some life crisis as a catalyst.

Whether you are 3 days or 3 decades into your Christian journey, regular Christian fellowship is essential to a growing, thriving walk with God for a lifetime. "Going it alone" is never God's best plan.

"Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ."

Galatians 6:2

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up . . . Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily broken."

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Just a few months ago, Twenty20 Faith announced THRIVE 4CE, our future ministry expansion to help brand new Christians around the world get connected to a trusted and vibrant Christian community where they reside. It is our firm belief that the local church remains a cornerstone in God's plan to meet this need and thus is a central focus of THRIVE 4CE.

Over the past year, we assembled a team of ministry leaders, high-tech professionals, business leaders and those from the laity with a special heart for new Christians. This team conducted research, prepared a ministry framework and strategy to fully address this need, and then designed a comprehensive ministry outreach plan and platform to achieve this at scale across numerous languages and geographies. That is THRIVE 4CE, and we are so very excited about the plans God has in this ministry expansion.

Amharic is spoken by approximately 57 Million people worldwide, with the vast majority in Ethiopia. It is the official language of Ethiopia.
